“Jack the Ripper” was the name given to a serial killer in 1888. He murdered five, possibly six, prostitutes in the Whitechapel district of London. The name “Jack the Ripper” came from a letter that many believe to be a fake. This letter was written by the supposed killer and was widely spread through the media. However, many believe this letter was a hoax. Throughout history, Jack has always been a very infamous serial killer. The fact that he was never caught makes him that much more intriguing. There are many different theories out there on who the real Jack is, but we may never know for sure who killed those women.
